Whilst writing my own fanfiction, I realised that I was doing an awful lot of research on historical figures, certain decades, fashions, medicines, inventions and a whole host of other bits and pieces. Every time I write something, I end up going to the same six or seven websites looking for material and I have so many bookmarks that it is starting, quite frankly, to get ridiculous.
When a fellow writer mentioned that she was having difficulty trying to write Griffin as there was so little cannonical evidence, I realised that some of the research and musing I had done might be some use to other writers. So I decided to shift my backside and do something I had wanted to do for a long time; create a database of various blog entries I had written, links to pages I use regularly, and collate a few of the resources, musings and various bits that I use on a regular basis in my fic writing, in the hope that it will save my own sanity and time in looking for information and that it might spare a few marbles of other writers out there
